Dietary Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the operation of Dietary Services, working closely with our Registered Dietitian to provide quality nutritional care, and ensuring food safety. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the dietary staff : Provide training, direction, and guidance to ensure excellent performance.
• Plan, organize, and direct dietary operations : Implement menus, foodservice purchasing, and food preparation, ensuring quality and safety.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation : Ensure compliance with regulations, monitor supply usage, and perform inventories.
• Collaborate with Nursing staff : Work closely with Nursing staff to ensure proper dietary needs are recorded, addressed, and delivered.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Program : Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize operations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned : Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience : Previous experience in Dietary operations, with at least one year in a long-term care environment.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
+ Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce
+ Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and all levels of the organization
+ Knowledge of infection control techniques
+ Knowledge of commercial food service equipment operation
