Family Law Paralegal

EPGD Business Law is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our growing Family Law practice. The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of Florida Family Law experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, can operate with minimal supervision, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. You’ll support Family Law attorneys through all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings and coordinating discovery to preparing financial disclosures and assisting with trial preparation. Responsibilities Assist lawyers with hearing and trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, creating hearing/trial binders, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research and organizing caselaw, drafting and filing witness and exhibit lists and pretrial catalogs, carefully tracking all hearing and trial deadlines; Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, pleadings, and discovery requests such as interrogatories, requests for production, deposition notices, petitions, affidavits, subpoenas, motions, and notices; Handle all areas of mandatory disclosure and financial affidavits, work closely with clients to gather, organize, and maintain financial disclosure and discovery documents, draft and file responses to discovery requests, track discovery deadlines, organize and catalog all discovery documents sent and received; Calculate child support guidelines and equitable distribution charts; Manage legal documents and records across an active docket, maintain organized, accessible case files to support hearings and trials; File documents with the Clerk of Court and maintain familiarity with the Judge’s procedures; Maintain communication with clients in both English and Spanish to gather case information and address procedural questions; Utilize legal tech tools such as DPA, Practice Panther, Westlaw, and video conferencing Qualifications - Must have 3+ years of Florida Family Law Paralegal experience Proficiency with DPA, Westlaw, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management systems Experience with mandatory disclosure, financial affidavits, child support guidelines, and equitable distribution A proactive, independent mindset, collaborative spirit, great time-management and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail Bilingual in Spanish (written and verbal) strongly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
