Established, privately held company is seeking an HR Coordinator to support daily human resources functions in recruitment, payroll, FMLA, benefits, and employee relations. As the HR Coordinator , you will report to the HR Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks: Hiring & Onboarding: Post open jobs, schedule interviews, manage background checks and onboarding, and work with temporary staffing agencies. Payroll & Invoicing: Act as a backup for payroll processing, prepare timecards and pay data before sending it to the payroll vendor, and reviews HR-related invoices for approval. Benefits, FMLA & Claims: Help employees enroll in health plans, support annual open enrollment, handle leave management (such as FMLA), and assist with Workers’ Compensation and unemployment claims. Employee Relations & Policies: Answer employee questions, help resolve workplace issues, assist with disciplinary actions or exit interviews, and enforce company policies. HR Records & Compliance: Maintain employee files in the HRIS system, keep OSHA logs updated, and assist with training and HR projects. Candidates should enjoy taking ownership of projects, be detail oriented, process driven, thorough, organized, and enjoy communication at all levels. REQUIREMENTS for the HR Coordinator: 1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED 2. Depending on level of education, minimum of 2-5 years of human resources experience 3. Exposure to payroll processes 5. Working knowledge of FMLA 6. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Skills preferred but NOT required: 1. HRIS experience 2. Experience partnering with staffing agencies 3. Manufacturing and/or logistics experience 4.
