We are seeking a detail-oriented Enrollment Specialist to process enrollment requests accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will review, analyze, enter, and maintain enrollment information within membership systems while providing excellent customer service and resolving enrollment-related issues.

This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Process enrollment requests timely and accurately in accordance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

• Review, analyze, and maintain enrollment data from electronic and paper documentation.

• Audit enrollment files to ensure completeness, organization, security, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Research and resolve enrollment discrepancies, customer issues, and membership inquiries.

• Perform reconciliation activities on accounts and cases as needed.

• Monitor enrollment inventory and ensure work is completed within established service level guidelines.

• Maintain and update membership information across multiple databases and systems.

• Provide courteous and professional support to internal and external customers regarding enrollment processes, eligibility requirements, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations.

• Communicate member enrollment status through system documentation, phone calls, written correspondence, and approved forms.

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and improve enrollment accuracy.

• Escalate critical customer concerns to leadership when appropriate.

• Maintain awareness of state and federal healthcare regulations that impact enrollment processes.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field.

• Strong data entry and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to learn new systems, processes, and regulations quickly.

• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.

• Previous enrollment processing experience.

• Experience with individual market enrollment.

• Experience using Facets and/or EPIC systems.

• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

• Understanding of COBRA and HIPAA requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
