A leader in precision manufacturing is hiring for a Machinist I to join its production team out of New Holland, PA. This position is designed for a developing machinist who has experience operating CNC and/or Swiss-style machining equipment and wants to continue building skills in machine setup, troubleshooting, quality inspection, and precision manufacturing.

The Machinist I will work alongside experienced production team members in a high-precision manufacturing environment. The position involves operating CNC and Swiss machines, performing basic setups and adjustments, inspecting finished components, completing production documentation, and maintaining established standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
-Operate CNC and/or Swiss-style machining equipment to manufacture precision components.
-Perform basic machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments according to established procedures.
-Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
-Use precision measuring equipment to verify that components meet required specifications.
-Record production and quality information accurately.
-Monitor machining operations and identify abnormalities involving tooling, machine performance, or part quality.
-Perform basic machine care and preventative maintenance.
-Maintain established standards for safety, quality, productivity, and organization.
-Keep machines, tooling, and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
-Work with other production team members to troubleshoot problems and improve manufacturing processes.
-Follow established procedures while continuing to develop machining and technical skills.

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: Approximately 40-45 hours per week

Key Requirements
-Ability to operate CNC and/or Swiss machining equipment.
-Ability to perform basic machine setups and adjustments.
-Ability to read and understand part drawings.
-Experience using precision measuring tools.
-Strong mathematical skills, including decimals, calculations, and conversions.
-Mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving ability.
-Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and machining techniques.
-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED preferred.
-Previous CNC, Swiss machining, machine shop, manufacturing, or related technical experience is preferred.
-Technical school, machining coursework, apprenticeship experience, or other relevant training is a plus.
-Experience working within a precision manufacturing environment is beneficial.
