The Facility - Garnet Health
The Garnet Health Medical Center is part of Garnet Health, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center, Garnet Health Medical Center moved the two campuses into a sinngle-site, new, state-of-the-art facility in 2011. This is the first new hospital built in New York State in over 20 years and boasts seven floors of state-of-the-art technology and provides 383 beds and employs over 2,300 healthcare professionals. More than 600 doctors have privileges at the hospital and treat thousands of area families, friends, and neighbors. Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Anesthesiologist provides clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre and post op.
• The Anesthesiologist monitors patients while in surgery.
• Care for patients in ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management.
• The Anesthesiologist reviews medical files and lab results.
• Informing patients about risks associated with anesthesia.

Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited college.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of New York.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
