Rather than simply executing test cases, you'll apply systems thinking to identify risks, develop thoughtful validation strategies and help ensure every release delivers an exceptional customer experience. As Gallup continues to expand its AI-powered products, you'll also have opportunities to contribute to testing intelligent workflows and emerging AI capabilities.What You'll DoDevelop a deep understanding of product features, customer workflows, system interactions, APIs, data flows, integrations and technical dependencies to identify quality risks and determine the most effective validation strategyCollaborate within Gallup's Product Operating Model alongside product managers, software engineers, designers and fellow quality engineers to ensure quality in every stage of product developmentDesign, execute and maintain manual and automated tests across user interfaces, APIs, integrations and end-to-end workflowsDevelop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or comparable modern automation frameworksPerform exploratory, regression, smoke and end-to-end testing to uncover system risks and validate critical customer experiencesIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable feedback throughout developmentTroubleshoot automation failures and partner with engineering teams to improve test stability, reliability and automation coverageCreate and maintain test plans and traceability that reflect product intent, customer impact and overall validation strategySupport production validation and investigate customer-reported issues when neededContinuously improve quality engineering practices, automation capabilities and release confidenceWhat Makes You Stand OutSystems thinking: You naturally connect product features, APIs, integrations and customer workflows to identify risks before they become production issues.Quality-first mindset: You view quality engineering as an integral part of software development and proactively build quality into products rather than testing only at the end.Automation expertise: You develop maintainable, scalable automated testing solutions that improve release confidence and accelerate delivery.Collaborative partnerships: You build strong relationships across Product, Engineering and Design teams, communicating effectively to solve complex problems and improve outcomes.Continuous learning: You embrace emerging technologies, modern testing approaches and AI-enabled engineering practices while continually expanding your technical expertise.What You NeedBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience requiredAt least three years of experience in quality engineering, including both functional and automated testing, requiredExperience testing web applications and REST APIs requiredExperience developing automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or comparable automation frameworks requiredExperience working within Agile software development teams requiredFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines requiredExperience using test management platforms such as QMetry, Azure DevOps Test Plans or TestRail requiredExperience with TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python preferredExperience with SQL and database validation preferredExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferredExperience with performance, security or data quality testing preferredExperience contributing to automation frameworks and reusable testing utilities preferredExperience testing AI-powered applications, chatbots, copilots or intelligent workflows preferredExperience testing Large Language Models (LLMs) preferredFamiliarity with prompt engineering, AI evaluation methodologies or evaluation frameworks such as Promptfoo, DeepEval, Ragas or LangSmith preferredA commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days per week requiredEligibility to work in the U.S. required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorshipAbout GallupAt Gallup, we change the world, one client at a time, through extraordinary analytics and advice on everything important facing humankind.
