Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic

Jones Excavating is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to come and join our team. Jones Excavating is a heavy commercial earthwork and utility contract who has been in business for over 75 years. We are looking for a mechanic with experience inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, and trucks. If you're an experienced diesel mechanic with a strong work ethic, great attitude, and the ability to diagnose and repair a broad spectrum of equipment types, we want to hear from you. We would prefer applicants have a minimum of 5 years experience working on heavy equipment. Must have own tools or at least a good start. Responsibilities Inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, servicing and repairing heavy construction equipment. Work is done in our brand new shop on site or out in the field as needed. Qualifications 5 Years Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs. Positive attitude, dependability, and commitment to teamwork. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
