CNC Machinist

Zing Recruiting in partnership with a prominent client in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist to support their manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist with experience programming, setting up, tooling, and operating CNC equipment, as well as Wire EDM machinery.

CNC Machinist Summary
-Pay: $36.69 + hourly (will go higher based on experience)
-2nd shift
-Direct Hire

-Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment.
-Create and modify programs using Mastercam .
-Set up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and work holding devices.
-Operate and troubleshoot Haas Machining Centers
- Program and operate Wire EDM equipment , preferably Charmilles machines.
-Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
-Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
-Perform machine adjustments to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
-Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.

CNC Machinist Qualifications
-5+ years of CNC machining experience.
-Strong CNC programming experience.
-Hands-on experience with Mastercam .
-Experience with machine setups, tooling selection, offsets, and troubleshooting.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
-Experience with Wire EDM programming and operation .
-Experience with Charmilles EDM machines .
-Experience with Haas machining centers .
-Knowledge of GD&T.
-Tool and die, mold, prototype, or precision machining experience.
-Ability to work 2nd shift.
