This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for SLPs or SLPAs passionate about fostering communication skills in young adults. You'll work closely with 21 high school students, conducting weekly one-hour sessions, and collaborating with staff to create a positive impact throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current license or certification as an SLP or SLPA in Alabama
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
• Commitment to individualized instruction and diverse student needs
• Reliable organizational skills to manage schedules and documentation

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, one-on-one speech and language sessions (1 hour per student, weekly)
• Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Track progress, maintaining accurate records for each student
• Provide practical strategies and support for students’ communication needs within the classroom
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Participate in team meetings as needed to discuss progress and coordinate care
