Product Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Support the Strategic Initiatives organization through a period of growth and transformation by partnering closely with the Director of eCommerce Strategy. The Product Manager will drive execution of strategic initiatives, translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, identify risks and dependencies, perform business analysis, develop business cases and executive recommendations, define KPIs, and collaborate across Product, UX, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams. The role requires balancing strategic thinking with execution while ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business outcomesWhat You'll Be Doing Day to Day• Writing clear, detailed requirements that downstream agile teams can pick up and execute without needing constant clarification• Ensuring cross-functional alignment across teams that don't report to the same organization — making sure everyone understands what's their responsibility and what isn't• Representing the hiring manager's strategic vision in working sessions and cross-functional meetings• Managing dependencies, risks, and decisions across multiple simultaneous initiatives• Supporting merger integration and strategic partnership initiatives from a product and eCommerce lens• Developing business cases, executive presentations, and analytical frameworks to measure initiative performanceWhat This Role Is NOTThis is not a traditional Agile Product Manager role with a dedicated scrum team. You won't be grooming a backlog or running sprints. Other teams have their own PMs doing that work. Your job is upstream of that — creating the vision and requirements that those teams then execute on.Must-Haves• 5+ years in a product-related role (PM, PO, BA, or strategy)• E-commerce experience — this is non-negotiable• Strong written communication skills — the ability to write requirements that are clear enough for teams to act on independently is central to this job• Experience working across large, matrixed organizations• Ability to influence without direct authority• Local to the Stanford area — four days per week in officeNice to Haves• Telecom industry experience• Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformations• Agile or Product Owner certification• Data visualization and analytics tool experienceJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Stamford, CT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
