Registered NurseThe Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.Location: Mint Hill Medical Center - 8201 Healthcare Loop Charlotte, NC 28215Shift: PRN Flex Dayshift and NightshiftAs a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, you'll provide rapid, compassionate, and expert care to patients experiencing a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Your ability to think critically, prioritize quickly, and remain calm under pressure will be essential in delivering safe, high-quality care when patients need it most.The Emergency Department cares for patients of all ages with diverse medical needs, including cardiac events, stroke, respiratory distress, trauma, orthopedic injuries, sepsis, behavioral health emergencies, and other acute illnesses and injuries. As an ED nurse, you'll perform rapid assessments, initiate life-saving interventions, administer medications and treatments, collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and continuously monitor patients throughout their emergency care journey.In this fast-paced, team-oriented environment, no two shifts are the same. You'll have the opportunity to build advanced clinical skills, make critical decisions, and provide exceptional care during some of the most important moments in your patients' lives.What We're Looking ForEducation: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
