Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job near Tampa, Florida Future Weekend + Week Long Stretches in 2026
Jackson and Coker's valued client near Tampa, Florida is interested in onboarding one to two Cardiothoracic Surgeons to assist with their future intermittent locum tenens call coverage needs. The facility doesn't have specific dates at this time, but anticipates weekend & infrequent week-long stretches to give their team time off for vacation, family time & holidays. The ideal candidate would have a flexible schedule and be able to assist with sporadic needs with a minimum of one month notice.
Details/Requirements for Assignment :Active Florida + DEA license required
Seeking candidates that have an Active Board Certification
Cardiothoracic Surgery call coverage only, no vascular needed
Can anticipate seeing an average of 10-15 patients per day (split with mid-levels on the floor)
Can anticipate doing 2-3 heart cases per week
Will be covering the ED and doing 100% inpatient work; Will need to do daily patient rounding, emergent procedures + new consults
Will have mid-level support on the floor, scrub techs in the OR to assist
Main facility is a 475+ bed full service hospital but the hospital is a transfer facility (May receive cases from other smaller facilities within same health system)
