Assistant Project Manager

Job Details Job Location: Capital Holding Group - Springfield, Ozark, MO 65721 Position Type: Full Time Job Category: Management Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities Work directly with Project Manager and Preconstruction Teams to understand size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines Assist Superintendent in maintaining construction schedule Adjust plan as necessary based on field conditions and progress Interact effectively with subcontractors to clearly define work scopes, ensure all work items are being addressed Act as direct liaison between Project Manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and vendors Read and understand job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs to prepare an estimate Assess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visits Assisting Project Manager with bid preparation, review, and submission for Federal, State, County and private jobs Assist in development of project schedule Promote a safe work environment Requirements Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering discipline or Construction Management preferred Previous experience in a project management role is a plus Ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings Proficient with Microsoft Office software Demonstrated ability to promote a safe work environment Excellent team and communication skills Problem solving and ability to adjust to changing circumstances Willingness to travel Benefits This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
