Financial Planning and Analysis Director Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to work full‑time at our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director will oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions. Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent work experience required. Master’s, CPA, or CFA preferred. Ten (10) years of experience in financial planning and analysis required. Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience required. Availability to work flexible hours as required. Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County. Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off‑site work. Position Responsibilities Drive the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes utilizing analytical tools and models and work closely with senior management. Create and maintain a structured forecasting process to support ongoing planning. Prepare financial analysis for health centers and programs; present findings to senior leadership and develop materials for Board meetings. Lead the preparation of accurate reports, variance analysis, and commentary as part of the monthly forecasting and management reporting process; design and improve methodologies supporting detailed financial models. Proactively deliver timely and accurate reporting to monitor monthly and quarterly financial changes; prepare and summarize business insights for management. Develop key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to support management financial awareness and drive fiscal responsibility. Collaborate regularly with the Controller and accounting team to ensure alignment between budget and actuals and understand drivers of variances. Create and maintain training materials and procedural documents related to budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning. Serve as the FP&A go‑to person for operations, providing regular updates to the executive team and cross‑functional leaders on budgets and forecasts. Prepare the annual operating and capital budget and forecasts, including long‑range planning through research and analysis of information from leadership, financial systems, and other data sources. Analyze financial metrics to spot trends and recommend action. Respond to management questions by researching and analyzing data. Assist in the management, support, and maintenance of financial systems used within the finance and accounting departments. Manage direct reports, including overseeing successful completion of tasks, reviewing timesheets timely, setting productivity and quality goals, and addressing staff concerns appropriately. Adhere to PPLA’s policies and procedures for interviewing/selecting new hires, promotions, transfers, performance management, and separations.
