Mechanical Engineer

Build the infrastructure behind the next generation of data centers. Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Data Center experience to support the design, engineering, and delivery of complex modular mechanical systems. This role works across design, applications, project engineering, manufacturing, and field teams on critical infrastructure including data halls, electrical modules, chiller plants, cooling towers, and central utility plants. What You’ll Do Support development of PFDs, P&IDs, bills of materials, and mechanical engineering deliverables Assist with stress analysis and pipe flow analysis Support sizing and selection of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, compressors, vessels, and other HVAC/mechanical equipment Review engineering drawings, 3D models, and BOMs at key project milestones Review customer specifications and provide engineering recommendations Perform design and drafting updates, including 3D SolidWorks and/or Revit redlines Support third-party engineering and design firms Assist with cost estimating and proposal development Partner with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Applications Engineers, Controls Engineers, Manufacturing, and Service teams Support fabrication and assembly by resolving engineering issues Assist with QA/QC requirements and production quality checks Support O&M and installation manual development Provide engineering support in the shop and field, including as-built documentation What We’re Seeking Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering program Data Center project experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Self-starter who takes ownership of issues and drives them to resolution Working knowledge of current HVAC/MEP equipment, codes, standards, and industry practices Preferred Experience Data Center, MEP, or HVAC industry experience Engineering internships in MEP/HVAC AutoCAD 2018+ SolidWorks, Revit, and 3D modeling Estimating and bid tabulation Advanced Excel EIT certification Familiarity with AHRI, AISC, ANSI/ASME, ASTM, ASHRAE, AWS, and related MEP/HVAC standards Why This Opportunity You’ll work on complex, high-impact infrastructure while collaborating across the full project lifecycle — from customer requirements and engineering through manufacturing, fabrication, and field execution. #J-18808-Ljbffr
