We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Quality Control Technician to ensure our composite products meet strict quality and regulatory standards. This role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to maintain and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of composite parts and materials
• Measure dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and deviations from specifications
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Conduct material and product testing as required (visual, mechanical, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred
• 1-3 years of quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing (composites preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
• Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement techniques
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Preferred Skills

• Experience with composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, resins)
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
• Understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
• Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods
• Lift up to 40-50 lbs as needed
• Good vision (corrected) for detailed inspection work
• Manual dexterity for handling small or intricate parts
