Senior Accountant (Costpoint required)

Senior Accountant Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), a recognized leader in IT solutions headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. This is a full‑time position based onsite at the company’s headquarters. Roles and Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses. Coordinate month‑end and year‑end close processes ensuring compliance with GAAP. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning, as well as GSA reporting. Day to day use of Deltek Costpoint. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and systems. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MUST have experience with Deltek Costpoint. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience with audit processes and internal controls.
