Description

• Conduct evaluations for a diverse patient base that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate aims and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families, supporting progress beyond clinical visits.
• Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the treatment pathway.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Must complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the initial 30 days of employment.
