Become a key part of the Energy Programs Office as an Clerical Assistant 2. This position gives you a front row seat to meaningful statewide programs that make a real impact. This position supports the daily operations of energy programs by handling clerical tasks, tracking information, and assisting administrative staff. The role requires strong organization and attention to detail, along with the ability to work independently.
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Grant Support: Assist with clerical tasks for grants, contracts, Memoranda of Understanding, and invoices for multiple energy programs
- Report Tracking: Gather and review program reports and keep staff informed about report status
- Financial Reporting: Use Business Warehouse to run reports and help prepare accurate financial summaries
- Records Management: Maintain records for federal grant programs and recommend filing methods that support audits
- Travel Processing: Prepare travel requests, process reimbursements, and maintain tracking systems for travel approvals
- Program Assistance: Support program specialists with federal grant requirements and perform back up duties for administrative staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).
