Bender CCP is looking for an accomplished and motivated Director of Operations to lead our Vernon facility and play a critical role in shaping the future of our operations.

This is more than a traditional operations management position. You will have the opportunity to lead a complex industrial operation with capabilities spanning precision machining, equipment repair, welding and fabrication, grinding, inspection, thermal spray, and engineered rotating equipment services. Our Vernon operation is built to take on challenging work that many facilities simply cannot handle, and our customers rely on us when quality, expertise, safety, and turnaround time matter most.

Bender CCP's history in Vernon dates back to 1946, when Bender Machine was founded. Over the decades, the company has continued to expand its capabilities and expertise. In 2010, Bender acquired California Centrifugal Pump (CCP), bringing the two organizations together in Vernon, and in 2015 they officially merged to become Bender CCP. Since then, the company has continued to grow through expanded capabilities and strategic acquisitions throughout the Western region.

Today, Bender CCP is recognized as a leading full-service provider of engineered rotating equipment repair and machining services. Our capabilities allow us to support customers from routine maintenance and repairs to highly complex, large-scale and emergency projects.

About the Opportunity

As Director of Operations, you will provide overall leadership for the Vernon facility and be responsible for ensuring the operation performs safely, efficiently, and profitably.

You will lead and develop the operational team while working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional departments to improve productivity, strengthen processes, meet customer commitments, and support continued growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Vernon facility.
  Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals.
  Oversee production, machining, welding/fabrication, maintenance, quality, scheduling, and facility operations.
• Ensure customer commitments, schedules, quality standards, and delivery requirements are met.
• Manage labor, equipment, materials, and resources to maximize efficiency.
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, downtime, and delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and profitability.
• Manage operating budgets, costs, and capital improvement needs.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support customer and business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Lead, develop, and hold managers and supervisors accountable for performance.
• Build a culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide operational reporting and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Support strategic initiatives that drive facility growth and long-term success.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on, strategic operations leader who can balance the big picture with what is happening on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial services, machining, repair, fabrication, or a related industry.
• Experience leading multi-department industrial operations.
• Experience leading managers, supervisors, or production teams.
• Strong understanding of production, scheduling, labor, equipment, and resource management.
• Experience managing budgets, operating costs, and performance metrics.
• A proven ability to improve processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Strong business judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

What Will Make You Stand Out

Experience in industrial repair, precision machining, welding, fabrication, engineered equipment, rotating equipment, or job-shop manufacturing is highly valued.

Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, capital planning, equipment investments, and production planning is also a plus.

Compensation: $150,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
