Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience License: RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure required, pending license okay, but must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Epic charting system experience preferred - Travel experience required Description: Shift is 3x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Certifications required include RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS. Pending license is acceptable but must be obtained prior to starting. Responsibilities include managing and caring for a diverse patient population in a step down unit. Patient ratios on night shifts are expected to be 6:1. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Skills required include insulin and blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, and management of various medical devices. The position requires advanced nursing skills in areas such as hemodialysis management, wound care, and care for post-operative patients. The unit supports a high level of care for adults and geriatric patients. This position involves teamwork and effective communication for optimal patient outcomes.
