Senior Fisheries Biologist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Fisheries Biologist to contribute to the management and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive research and analysis of fish populations, habitats, and related ecosystems to inform conservation strategies and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for designing and implementing field studies and surveys, collecting and interpreting data, and preparing detailed reports that guide decision-making processes. Collaborating with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, will be essential to promote effective fisheries management practices.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marine biology or fisheries science, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field is highly desirable. You should demonstrate proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques, as well as experience with various sampling methods and tools used in aquatic research. Excellent communication skills are required for presenting findings to diverse audiences and contributing to policy development. Additionally, you will mentor junior biologists and provide training on best practices in fisheries research and management.
