Accounts Payable Specialist - Finance

Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist supports full‑cycle AP operations for US and Canadian entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities. This role partners with the AP Manager and cross‑functional teams to maintain internal controls, support audits, and uphold supplier relationships. The position is based in New York and includes responsibility for weekly and monthly payment runs and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and approval workflows. Review invoices for proper coding, documentation, and compliance with internal controls. Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs including checks, ACH, and wires. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate electronic records for audit purposes. Support AP aging reports, accruals, month‑end reconciliations, and 1099 reporting. Collaborate with Procurement, Retail, and Operations to resolve invoice and PO issues. Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 2-4 years of accounts payable experience, ideally within retail or luxury goods. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including PivotTables and V‑Lookup functions. Experience with SAP and Concur and strong knowledge of US GAAP and AP processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
