ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but is not limited to the following:
- Perform unskilled production work such as loading materials and pushing buttons to activate machinery.
- Use hand carts to transport materials to the work station.
- Check the work produced according to the quality specifications.
- Identify and contain nonconforming material. Stop production if necessary to stop the flow of nonconforming material through the manufacturing process.
- Count rejected material and record on tally sheet.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning tasks and record results.
- Pack finished products when required.
- Inspection and testing of product characteristics as required by customer drawings, Operation Standards, or other as directed by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- stand for extended periods (up to 7 hours without rest).
- perform frequent and repetitive hand and arm movements, including grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Bend, stoop/squat, crouch, stand and walk intermittently throughout the work day.
- Lift or move up to 30 pounds
SKILLS NEEDED:
Ability to read and interpret written documents such as work instructions and safety rules. Ability to count parts and record numbers on a tally sheet.
