Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.CompensationBase Salary: Competitive hourly rate based on tenure, experience, & market / geographyBonus: Semi-Annual bonus based on performance in an assigned campaign / initiativePaid Time Off (PTO): Time Away with Pay (TAWP)ResponsibilitiesPatient Support:Oversee the daily operations and management of clinical therapies under the direction of the PhysicianGreet and room patients, obtain weight and vitals, review any relevant medical information and current medications, administer medications as indicated and orderedReview all screeners related to patient's appointment and alert physician if abnormal or high scores are reportedProvide clear patient instructions and education regarding treatmentsEnsure all relevant documentation and consents are signed before starting treatmentEnsure adequate medication dosages and confirm accurate dose before administration of medicationBefore starting treatment ensure correct patient identification is obtained, chairsideMonitor and assess patients thoroughly throughout their stayMaintain all clinical logs to ensure compliance and accuracyEnsure clinic prep is complete for the next shiftReview intakes and collaborate with psychiatric clinician, regarding new patient paperworkEstablish professional relationships with new and existing patientsTimely submission of charting and documentation requirements for each patientMaintain an orderly configuration for the storage of supplies, including expiration dates and sufficient levels of the required supplyMonitor and report inventory requirements needed for daily operationMaintain and comply with DEA regulations of controlled substancesMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsAssist psychiatric clinicians with necessary aspects of patient care including prior authorizations, lab orders, letters for patients, records requests, coordination of needed patient forms/paperwork (i.e. FLMA)Facilitate communication as needed between the patient, medical staff and the patient's pharmacy, including arranging medication deliveriesEnsure accuracy of patient pharmacy information in the medical recordAssist in coordination of internal and external referrals for specialty services careClinician SupportProvide general clinician support – assist clinicians with administrative questions and/or duties such as sending letters, faxes, etc.Coordinate with clinicians pertaining to any additional patient questions.Required SkillsRequired Skills/Abilities:Ability to multitask and prioritize duties to support delivery of high-quality patient experience.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient in using Computer Software Applications (Microsoft Office & EMRs)Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential Information (HIPAA)Current BLS CertificationUnderstanding of documentation standardsEducationEducation and Experience:Certified Medical Assistant (MUST HAVE TESTED FOR MA AND RECEIVED CERTIFICATION)High School or equivalent required, associates/bachelor's degree preferred.1 + years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role or setting preferred.$23.50 - $27 an hour
