Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a pivotal role supporting student learning as a paraprofessional for this full-time contract opportunity near Providence, RI. This position features a dependable 32.5 hour work week, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference from now until the end of the school year. You’ll have a direct hand in providing academic and behavioral assistance, primarily within inclusive classroom settings where students participate alongside their peers.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide
- Skill in supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Ability to collaborate with instructional staff to deliver accommodations
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the day-to-day needs of students
- Commitment to nurturing a positive and inclusive educational environment
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering instructional and behavioral support to students as directed by teaching staff
- Assisting with classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment
- Encouraging student participation in inclusive settings
- Supporting students’ individual education and behavior plans
- Communicating observations and progress to educators and other support personnel
