Java Full Stack Architect - Vice President Job Information Job Req Id: 26948699 Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India Job Type: Hybrid Job Overview The Applications Development Senior Lead is a senior developer level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key responsibilities include: Manage one or more Applications Development teams, conduct personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions Provide technical oversight across systems and applications using in-depth knowledge across multiple development areas Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas integrate to accomplish business goals Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations Monitor delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handle day‑to‑day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards, negotiating with external parties when necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrate consideration for the firm’s reputation, safeguard Citigroup, its clients and assets, drive compliance with laws, regulations, and policy, and supervise the activity of others while maintaining accountability Qualifications 10–15 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry Experience designing and delivering complex multi‑system, distributed, highly available development projects Proven experience in solution design and architecture using technologies such as Microservices, Java, Spring Boot, JDBC, JMS, Kafka Knowledge of architectural methodologies and frameworks, design patterns, and principles Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, databases, JDBC, JMS, distributed systems, and OpenShift Experience with ALM and CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, TFS, Jenkins, uDeploy, and related tools in an agile methodology Leadership experience in project solution architecture design at high and detailed levels Experience documenting solution architecture and other architectural deliverables Experience with a wide range of technologies (Java, database, cloud, web technologies) Experience working in both waterfall and Agile methodologies Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Experience within a banking/finance environment preferred Experience with WebSocket, Elasticsearch, and OpenShift Methodology of AI including chunking, embedding, AI engineering, and prompt engineering Bonus Points Familiarity with Angular14 Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) Experience with CI/CD pipelines Experience with Agile development methodologies Methodology of AI including chunking, embedding, AI engineering, and prompt engineering Education Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Citi is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.
