Position Overview Atlantic Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a Fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our respected team in Houston, Texas. This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing outpatient therapy services to individuals, families, and groups. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately determine clients' mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans that adhere to best practices. Provide evidence-based therapy services utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other treatment approaches tailored to the client’s specific challenges. Work collaboratively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client’s life. Conduct crisis intervention when necessary for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes, ensuring they receive immediate and compassionate care. Engage in community outreach, including educational programs and workshops, to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma associated with seeking help. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with diverse clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-related disorders. Qualifications Possession of an independent, active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). A master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Exemplary communication skills, enabling you to create trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds and help them feel comfortable during therapy sessions. Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, ensuring effective engagement with individuals from different ethnicities, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Strong organizational and time-management abilities for efficient documentation and client tracking. Preferred Experience Experience working in a community mental health setting or outpatient facility, particularly in a diverse urban environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate accurate documentation and report generation. Proven ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans for clients. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
