Be part of an excellent care team We are looking for Dental Assistants who want to serve as a valuable member of our care team by working alongside dentists in fourhanded dentistry. You will be relied on for your technical skills to improve the quality and efficiency of the clinic while maintaining a compassionate patient experience. The role requires interacting with diverse people, thriving in a fast-paced clinic environment, and remaining calm under pressure. You should be responsible, reliable, and able to support other care team members. Responsibilities Major Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to: Patient Care: Manage patient flow to maximize access, ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready; prepare patients for examination by recording vital signs and histories; assist with patient comfort; communicate requests to dentists and team members; assist during procedures (e.g., taking dental x-rays); sterilize and maintain instruments; prepare materials and medications for procedures; instruct patients in oral hygiene; provide post-treatment instructions; provide prescription information to pharmacies; record treatment information in patient records using Electronic Dental Records. Commitment to Quality Demonstrate a commitment to excellent patient experience and quality outcomes. Communicate effectively with providers and the dental care team to create a welcoming clinical space; participate in huddles, staff meetings, and development opportunities; pursue ongoing professional development. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards and La Clínica policies and procedures. General Office Duties Perform general office duties (scheduling, phones, medical updates, insurance forms). Register patients, process payments, prepare treatment estimates, and manage end-of-day reporting. Assist patients with insurance forms; greet and log in patients in the electronic system. Inventory and verify reception of dental, lab, or office supplies; maintain equipment with routine care and repairs as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge Basic dental assisting practices, terminology, and equipment. Dental office procedures including scheduling, registration, treatment estimates, and payment collection. Working with modern computer applications and electronic health records. Techniques for cleaning and sterilization of dental equipment and treatment areas. Abilities Physical: ability to work in fourhanded dentistry and continuous movement. Communication: bilingual proficiency; clear written and verbal communication in English; able to follow instructions. Interpersonal: ability to work professionally in a diverse team and support diversity, equity, and inclusion; adaptable to change. Administrative: methodical, independent, accurate, and able to perform clerical tasks with minimal supervision; good judgment and basic math skills. Availability: able to participate in Saturday and evening rotations. Other Qualifications HS/GED, X-Ray License, and 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant. Non-Licensed DA: completion of Dental Assistant Training Program preferred. Licensed DA: DA II (RDA); DA III (RDA-Extended Function); DA IV (RDA-Extended Function II). Health clearance certification required for all healthcare professionals.
