Family Law Attorney

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing case updates.
• Manage an active caseload under the guidance and supervision of senior attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing document productions, and preparing discovery motions.
• Take and defend depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
• Appear at court hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, motion practice, and trial strategy.
• Participate in bench and jury trials as experience and case needs allow.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive and procedural issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve successful client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience; family law experience is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
