Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit caring for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases Unit includes a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays Travelers will function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week Every other weekend required Every other holiday required No on-call responsibilities Free parking available Requirements Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE required Minimum one year of nursing experience required Previous L&D operating room experience required Must be able to circulate for C-sections Must be able to triage for OB patients Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required BSN or MSN preferred Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team on patient care planning and evaluation Participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities American Traveler Job ID P-751087.
