Motor Vehicle Operator
Job Description
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Operates gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles with a typical gross weight of 22,000 to 32,000 pounds.
- Operates other vehicles and performs other tasks as assigned by the Fleet Manager/Operations Supervisor.
- Loading and unloading patients and medical supplies.
- Assists patients to their scheduled destinations and remains with patient; if necessary.
- Signs for certified mail and patient belongings, and delivers to the appropriate officials.
- Responsible for ensuring all government, state, and local traffic laws regulations are obeyed.
- Updates travel logs on GSA vehicles that are used after each trip.
- Cleans and washes vehicles, checks tire pressure and inflates as necessary, and checks liquid levels such as, oil and gas etc.
- Possessing Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for the position.
- Other duties as assigned
