CNC MACHINIST

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator ready to fabricate high-tolerance components and take ownership of the machining process from setup to final assembly.

* Compensation: $18 - $23 per hour (Depending on Experience)

* Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend! Occasional overtime available)

* Breaks: ☕ Two 10-minute paid breaks (morning & afternoon) + a 30-minute lunch

The Role


Under the guidance of our department lead, you will program, set up, and operate both conventional and special-purpose machines. You will work independently and collaboratively to read blueprints, use precise measuring instruments, and utilize offline/online programming interfaces. Experience with both CNC and manual machining is required, along with a strong willingness to learn, great listening skills, and clear communication.

What You'll Do


* Prioritize safety by complying with all shop rules and wearing required PPE (hearing protection and safety glasses).

* Maintain reliable attendance for your scheduled shifts.

* Study blueprints, sketches, manuals, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup/programming sequences.

* Measure, mark, and scribe reference points on materials to guide your machining process.

* Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and programs on manual or CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills.

* Calculate and fine-tune machining factors like speed, feed, coolant flow, and angle of cut.

* Run trial operations to verify machine accuracy before full production.

* Monitor operations to detect malfunctions, adjust controls as needed, and verify finished workpieces against exact specifications.

* Safely operate hand tools, measuring tools, forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and hoists.

* Fit and assemble parts into completed units, verifying their final dimensions and alignment.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands


* Movement: Standing 95% of the time; Sitting 5%. Frequent kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling (35%).

* Lifting & Carrying: Frequently lift light to medium weights (1-45 lbs) and carry them up to 25 feet. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs (anything heavier requires a mechanical device or team assist).

* Environment: Dynamic shop floor with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F+. Expect exposure to fumes, dust, humidity, and standard machine noise.
