Position Overview

We are urgently seeking a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our exceptional team at Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. As an integral member of our rehabilitation facility, you will focus on promoting movement, preventing injuries, diagnosing conditions, and implementing effective treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to each individual patient.

Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technology in sports medicine. We primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that we meet the varied needs of our community.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our fully equipped rehabilitation facility in Roanoke, VA. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while focusing on delivering optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to set personalized therapy goals and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Maintain a patient load that allows for in-depth treatment, capped at one patient per hour.
• Develop and deliver cost-effective therapy interventions aimed at enhancing patient mobility and reducing reliance on medications.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment approaches as needed.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure interdisciplinary continuity of care.
• Document all aspects of patient care in our EMR system, ensuring accurate data tracking and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Foster a motivating environment by encouraging patients to adhere to their treatment plans and actively engage in their recovery process.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle through rehabilitation exercises that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will predominantly work with patients recovering from surgeries or managing chronic orthopedic conditions. Your focus will be on restoring function and advising on preventive strategies to enhance daily living activities. With a patient-centric approach, you will address each individual's specific needs and goals, crafting customized care plans that prioritize sustained improvements in movement and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A clean license with no board actions or disciplinary measures taken against you.
• Strong hands-on manual therapy capabilities with a solid foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in developing effective individualized exercise programs tailored to patients' specific rehabilitation goals.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
• A background in using evidence-based practices to guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.
• Experience in conducting wellness and preventive programs that enhance patient engagement with their health care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
