Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a large, growing organization in St. Petersburg, FL. This role will directly manage a team of four accountants supporting general ledger accounting and will report to the Director of Accounting. The ideal candidate is an established people manager with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience working within a large corporate environment and/or public accounting. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can effectively balance team development with day-to-day accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop a team of four accountants supporting general ledger accounting Oversee month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and related GL activities Ensure accounting processes and financial reporting comply with US GAAP Provide technical accounting guidance and support across the team Review accounting work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies Utilize technology and accounting systems to improve reporting and workflow efficiency Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporate environment and/or public accounting 2-3+ years of direct people-management experience; must currently be managing a team Strong general ledger and month-end close experience Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP or finance-system implementations is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
