Shipping And Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator manages inventory for incoming and outgoing products and parts, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient material flow, and timely communication with internal stakeholders. This role combines hands-on warehouse activities with computer-based data entry to maintain precise inventory records and support daily logistics operations.

• Perform reconciliation of receiving and purchase documentation to ensure accuracy between physical deliveries and system records.
• Enter daily receiving information into the computer system using Microsoft Office applications and other internal tools.
• Notify end users and relevant internal contacts about incoming materials, shipments, or inventory status as needed.
• Manage outbound shipments, including packaging products for shipment, preparing paperwork and labels, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Create and process bills of lading and other shipping documents required for domestic and international shipments.
• Arrange transportation services and coordinate logistics to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
• Support inventory control activities, including inventory tracking and cycle counts, to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners in a safe and efficient manner, following all site procedures.
• Maintain general housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness of the dock and warehouse areas to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
• Collaborate with team members in shipping, receiving, and logistics to resolve issues and improve processes while also working independently on assigned tasks.

• At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience managing inventory within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office applications for data entry and documentation.
• Experience with inventory control and inventory tracking processes.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records.
• Experience working with bills of lading and basic logistics documentation.
• Comfort operating warehouse tools and equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners.
• High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Diploma (GED).

• Experience as a Shipping Coordinator or Receiving Coordinator.
• Familiarity with cycle counts and routine inventory audits.
• Exposure to logistics operations, including coordination of transportation services.
• Understanding of shipping and receiving best practices in an engineering or office-based facility.
• Knowledge of IATA or related shipping standards is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.

This role is based in the warehouse and dock area of an engineering and office building, providing a mix of industrial and professional surroundings. You work on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, supporting a smaller on-site team. The environment involves typical warehouse activities such as operating forklifts and RF scanners, handling shipments, and maintaining organized storage areas, while also using computer systems and Microsoft Office for documentation and inventory management. Attire is appropriate for a warehouse setting, allowing for practical and comfortable clothing suited to physical tasks and safety requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
