In the Operating Room—integrated with Surgical Services and Perioperative Services—the Nurse Director Operating Room will lead a service line anchored in all the following: a top-rated, community-owned facility, recognized as a 2025 "Top 75 Best Hospitals in the U.S." by Money Magazine and a 5-star provider by CMS; Surgical service line boasts 3 Operating Rooms offering specializes general surgery, podiatry, OB/GYN, orthopedics, and ENT cases; Surgical line performs roughly 200+ procedures monthly; Director oversees 20 FTEs, giving the Nursing Director Surgical Services a nimble, high-performing platform to drive efficiency, elevate safety, and achieve standout perioperative outcomes.
The Nurse Director Surgery will report to the Chief Nursing Officer with close partnership alongside the OR Medical Director, Anesthesia leadership, and Sterile Processing, supported by charge leaders, an educator, seasoned circulators and scrub techs, and a collaborative perioperative council; the Nursing Director Surgical Services will guide staffing and scheduling, block-time optimization, surgeon relations, budget and capital planning, infection prevention, accreditation readiness, case throughput, preference-card and supply standardization, data-driven quality dashboards, and professional development for a friendly nursing team and diverse interprofessional colleagues who champion accountability, teamwork, and patient advocacy.
