Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Location: Burlington, NC Pay Rate: $67.00/hour Schedule: 32.5–40 hours per week, including every other weekend Contract Position Join a leading healthcare organization providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care in a retail clinic setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working independently while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team to improve patient outcomes. Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary CareResponsibilities Provide comprehensive primary and family care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. Perform wellness visits, preventive care, chronic disease management, health screenings, and patient education. Conduct routine examinations and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals. Complete administrative duties including clinic opening/closing, inventory management, insurance verification, payment collection, patient follow-up, and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and engage patients in their long-term healthcare plans. Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary CareRequired Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to start). Master's Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program. Current National Board Certification. Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable working independently in a collaborative care environment. Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure if needed. Candidates without this experience cannot be considered. This is a patient-facing, safety-sensitive position. DEA registration may be required during onboarding. Position includes every other weekend and possible holiday rotations.
