Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher

Job Summary Responsible for instruction of math for grades 6 – 8 at St. Mary School. Rate of Pay $21,500 – $48,000 Salary/year per the Archdiocese of Denver Teacher Pay Scale Benefits Part-time employees are not offered benefits other than what is required by law; Worker’s Compensation, FMLA unpaid leave, CO HFWA: 1 Hour of Sick Time per 30 hours worked Normal Working Hours 18 – 22 hours per week, based on class schedule for the year. Teachers are contracted to work 185 days per year. A limited number of evenings for school related events are part of contract. Reports to The Pastor, the Principal, and their representatives Duties Prepare Lesson plans designed to implement stated goals that follow an established scope and sequence. Collaborate with colleagues to establish student performance expectations that are clear and consistent. Maintain an efficient, functional and pleasant learning environment that sets a high standard of behavior, but is consistent and fair to all students. Support and enforce school-wide policies and rules. Effectively and respectfully communicate and maintain a positive relationship with parents, students, the Parish community, the principal, and other staff members. Model an attitude of service. Be timely with reporting of grades and incidents. Any other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Principal. Requirements Qualifications Must be a Catholic in Good Standing.
