Senior Director of Insights & Analytics

The Senior Director, Insights & Analytics will serve as the strategic analytics leader for a major Neuropsychiatry and Women’s Health franchise at a leading commercial pharmaceutical company, responsible for objectively assessing brand performance, enabling data‑driven decision‑making, and delivering forward‑looking insights that shape commercial strategy. This role sits at the center of a fast‑evolving portfolio focused on improving outcomes for large patient populations. You will oversee the full insights and analytics spectrum — including primary research, secondary analytics, forecasting guidance, and competitive intelligence — and act as a core partner to commercial leadership. This position requires a leader who can translate complex data into clear narratives, guide strategic choices, and influence senior stakeholders across marketing, commercial, and cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Partnership Serve as the primary insights partner to franchise leadership and commercial heads. Work directly with North America commercial leaders and cross‑functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical, IT) to define business questions and align on insight needs. Shape the performance narrative for the franchise and support brand strategy development. Insights & Analytics Ownership Lead the franchise insights agenda across market research, forecasting support, competitive intelligence, brand analytics, and field analytics. Deliver high‑quality ad hoc analyses with clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Provide proactive insights to guide both near‑term resource allocation and long‑term strategic planning. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with advanced analytics, business intelligence, and operations teams to support brand strategy and execution. Lead the development of the Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the insights function. Ensure commercial teams have comprehensive market, performance, and audience insights. Operational Excellence Manage insights budget and identify innovative methodologies to enhance efficiency and capability. Drive innovation in analytics, measurement, and business execution to improve performance and investment strategy. Ensure key business decisions are grounded in rigorous, fact‑based analysis. Required Experience 12+ years of relevant experience in life sciences or healthcare consulting. Consulting background strongly preferred.
