Chief Financial Officer / CFO-Designate (Los Angeles)

We're seeking an accomplished finance executive who wants to help build—not simply manage—the financial foundation of a high-growth company.

Depending on experience, the successful candidate will join as either Chief Financial Officer or CFO-Designate , with a clearly defined path to the CFO role.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you'll partner directly with the CEO and President to shape BSI's long-term growth strategy while leading all aspects of finance, accounting, financial planning & analysis, treasury, project financial performance, banking relationships, bonding capacity, risk management, and financial operations.

This role is ideal for a strategic finance leader who enjoys balancing executive-level decision making with hands-on leadership in a growing organization.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support rapid, profitable growth
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning
• Build world-class FP&A capabilities and executive performance dashboards
• Improve project financial performance, margin forecasting, and cost-to-complete reporting
• Strengthen cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and bonding capacity
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, payroll, and internal controls
• Modernize finance systems, ERP capabilities, and business intelligence reporting
• Evaluate acquisitions, strategic investments, and expansion opportunities
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance organization that scales with the business

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including significant responsibility in FP&A, corporate finance, controllership, investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance
• Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership to drive business performance
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, cash management, and operational finance
• Proven ability to build scalable financial systems and processes
• MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Engineering or systems integration
• Construction or project-based businesses
• Government contracting
• Technology or software
• Professional services

Experience with project accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, ERP implementation, banking relationships, surety bonding, M&A, or finance transformation is highly valued.
