Controls Technician

A leading building automation and controls integrator is expanding its team in Chantilly, VA to support a growing portfolio of data center and critical infrastructure projects. About the Role This role focuses on controls upgrades, troubleshooting, and commissioning support across complex BMS and EPMS systems, working in high-performance environments where reliability and uptime are critical. If you enjoy hands-on problem solving, working with live systems, and supporting commissioning in fast-paced projects, this is a strong opportunity to take on technically challenging work. Responsibilities Troubleshooting and resolving complex BMS and EPMS system issues Supporting controls upgrades and system improvements Working alongside project teams during commissioning and functional testing Developing and modifying control logic from sequences of operation Acting as a technical resource for field teams and project stakeholders Supporting startup, validation, and system optimisation activities Participating in service work, maintenance, and on-call support as needed Required Skills Experience with BMS, BAS, or HVAC systems Background in controls engineering, automation, or SCADA Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, or industrial control systems Experience with HVAC controls, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA platforms, or building automation systems Understanding of control logic and sequences of operation Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or field troubleshooting Exposure to platforms such as Ignition, Niagara, Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider is beneficial.
