Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. You will secure patient travel, apply the Texas Nursing Practice Act, and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies. Shift Full Time Nights, 7pm-7am Experience 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience; ALS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Labor and Delivery Responsibilities Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Build therapeutic connections with patients and families, manage discomfort and maintain professionalism. Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members, assessing and documenting learning needs. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly with colleagues and community partners. Apply diverse problem‑solving strategies, prioritize safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members and contribute to peer development. Key Success Factors Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, procedures, and hospital rules. Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, and guidelines. Proficiency in medical terminology and medication management. Respect for nursing ethics and patient privacy. Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills. Strong problem‑solving capabilities. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, EMR). Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program. RN license. BLS certification, or obtain within 30 days of starting. Patient Population Low and high‑risk obstetrical patients.
