Title: Product Engineer — CAE

Worksite Location: Westfield, Indiana

Duties: Indiana Mills & Manufacturing Inc. d/b/a IMMI seeks a Product Engineer-CAE in Westfield, Indiana to design and develop new seatbelts and occupant restraint products or improve current products using engineering disciplines and tools such as IMMI Pro track (IPT), Computer Aided Design and Engineering tools, Test and Validation, Product Release, etc. The goal is to produce products that meet IMMI targets for performance specifications, cost and timing. Working collaboratively design engineers to execute projects with various internal competencies such as CAPE, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance; Serving as subject matter expert and supporting design engineers with technical information and initiatives, including providing design suggestions, creating FEA models, and technical reports/presentations of CAE results; Performing model correlations to refine models through the product development process. Gaining peer and management product insight through informal and formal design reviews; and Utilizing analysis tools available to assist design engineers to reduce development time while ensuring optimal product design. Less than 5% domestic and international travel.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience using HyperMesh. 5 years of experience using LS-Dyna. 4 years of experience using Primer. Experience in vehicle crash simulation. Knowledge of FMVSS standards relevant to occupant safety and crash (e.g., FMVSS 207, 208, 210, 222 etc.). Strong results orientation and positive "can do" attitude with a sense of urgency. Self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenges and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction. Collaborative member and team player.
