The short version You answer phones for businesses that can't miss a call: property managers, contractors, medical offices, and more. You take accurate messages, follow each account's instructions, and get urgent calls to the right person fast. You work from home, on a set schedule, for a family-owned company that has been doing this since it was founded in Joliet, Illinois over 40 years ago.

Pay and benefits • $18 to $20 per hour to start, based on experience • Extra $3 per hour for midnight shifts and covering shifts • Extra $1.50 per hour for highly qualified bilingual Spanish/English operators • Paid biweekly • 401(k) with a 3% company contribution • Paid time off for full-time employees

Schedule We answer 24/7, so this is not a Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 job. Full-time schedules include at least one weekend day, plus evenings and holidays. Once you're trained, you work your schedule from home.

What you'll actually do • Answer incoming calls for many different client accounts and follow each one's instructions • Take clear, complete messages and type them accurately while the caller is talking • Recognize an urgent call and dispatch it according to the account's protocol • Stay calm and professional with callers who are stressed, upset, or in a hurry • Keep caller information confidential • Work with your supervisor when a call doesn't fit the script

What we need from you • Type at least 40 words per minute at 92% accuracy (part of the evaluation) • Available for at least one weekend day, evenings, and holidays • Able to spend your first week training and observing in person at our Schererville, Indiana office • Clear speaking voice and professional phone manner • Comfortable using a computer and learning new software • A quiet, private workspace and reliable high-speed internet at home • A computer with a keyboard and a working microphone (required to take the evaluation) • Must live in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona, Mississippi, or Alabama • Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred Call center, answering service, dispatch, hospitality, or medical office experience helps but is not required. We train you.
