Job Title: Outside Sales Representative — Roofing & Exterior Remodeling

Location: Schererville, IN — territory covers Northwest Indiana and Chicago's south and southwest suburbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: [Commission / base + commission] — $75,000 - $150,000 realistic first-year earnings

About Us

Total Roofing & Construction Services has been selling and installing exterior work for over 40 years. Licensed in Illinois and Indiana, with offices in Schererville, Dolton, and Orland Park. Roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and restoration — residential, commercial, and multi-family.

We're not a storm-chasing outfit that shows up after a hail event and disappears. We've been here four decades and we'll be here after your first sale.

The Role

You'll be meeting homeowners and property owners, inspecting exteriors, diagnosing damage, building estimates, and closing work. We generate leads for you — company-provided appointments from marketing, canvassing, and referrals — and we expect you to generate your own too.

The people who do well here treat this like a business, not a job.

What You'll Do

• Run company-provided appointments and self-generated leads
• Perform roof, siding, and exterior inspections and document conditions
• Diagnose storm damage and walk homeowners through the insurance claim process
• Build accurate estimates and present clear, honest proposals
• Close contracts and collect deposits
• Stay with your customer through production, acting as their point of contact
• Ask for referrals and reviews on every completed job
• Track your pipeline and activity in our CRM

What We're Looking For

Required

• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record
• Comfortable climbing ladders and walking roofs
• Strong communication skills — you can hold a conversation at a kitchen table
• Self-motivated; you don't need someone telling you to go to work
• Willing to work some evenings and Saturdays, when homeowners are actually home

Preferred but not required

• Prior roofing, exterior, or in-home sales experience
• Insurance restoration or claims knowledge
• Bilingual English/Spanish

We will train the right person with no roofing background. Drive and coachability matter more to us than a resume.
