Accounting Manager

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join our well-respected client in the Capital Region area. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity to join a well-respected organization! 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise A/P, Payroll and General Ledger staff.
• Ensure requisitions and purchase orders get approved through Banner workflow.
• Review bank reconciliations; assisting staff as needed.
• Review adjusting journal entries to ensure completeness of close process.
• Follow up and ensure staff respond to questions regarding vendor payments, past spending and/or grant questions.
• Bill grant managers monthly.
• Assemble quarterly grant expenditure reports.
• Supervise the completion and submission of the year-end tax compliance documents.
• Work with staff to ensure recurring payments are made timely.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Prior Supervisory experience
• Accounting month-end and year-end close experience
• Payroll Experience
• Accounts Payable experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Accounting Manager
• Previous experience in Higher Education

Pay Range:

$35.00-$44.00/hour (based on experience)
