That's why our drivers build long‑lasting careers with us. Benefits You Can Count On Pay Rate: $65,000 – $70,000 per year. Food service experience is required. Touch freight with hand dolly delivery method. Begin on extra board with bidding for routes starting at 6 months. Dispatch between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM; routes 12‑14 hours, 5 days a week. What You'll Do As a CDL‑A Delivery Driver Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre‑ or post‑trip & submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. Inspect bill of lading, store keys for accuracy during off‑hour delivery. Drive tractor‑trailer to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. Maintain driver log (manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate At least 21 years of age. Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A). At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience. Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
