Business Development Representative

To drive top-of-funnel pipeline for a new SaaS line of business, the part-time Business Development Representative will prospect and set qualified appointments with senior academic and technology leaders at higher-education institutions, working remotely and collaborating closely with sales leadership. Key responsibilities Prospect and set qualified appointments targeting Provosts, CIOs, and Academic Technology leaders at Tier 2 institutions Execute persona-based outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn, tailored to specific messaging angles Log all prospecting activity accurately in HubSpot and maintain organized pipeline records Required qualifications 3+ years of experience in appointment-setting for sales leadership, preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment Hands-on experience in the higher education sector, with familiarity in academic buyers and LMS platforms Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging senior leaders Proficient with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, demonstrating a track record of reliable activity logging Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity with flexibility to scale hours as needed
